Weekly High-Lights

Week 1:
On Day 2 we went to Snakes and ladders. It was totally Awesome!! There was a flying fox, a huge slide and a swinging rope thingy. There were 3 people on the swinging rope thingy and I jumped off the 5 stair. It was cool! The Flying Fox was great! I kind of fell off at the very end and landed flat on my tummy. Then we went to a different playground. This playground was dedicated to a dead boy who was disabled.

Week 2:
On Day 12 we went to Arltunga. That is the first spot Gold was found in NT. We saw some houses from the first miner's dwellings. They were tiny! We also went inside some old mines. The lady who took us on the tour gave us some real cool sheets and posters. once we got home we played with our friends.

Week 3:
On Day 18 we went to Edith Falls. It was a 1KM walk to get there. The walk in was OK, but the way out was horrible. At the falls we went swimming. The rocks were very slippery and we saw a goanna. I climbed a vertical rock and another lady had trouble. I showed her how to get up. It was Awesome!

Week 4:
On day 24 we went to the wild life park, we saw heaps of things. First we went to the Billabong. We saw a 1 metre fish and fed fish to the Pelicans We also saw a freshwater crocodile. Second we went to oolloo sandbar. We held a catapillar in the air and the archer fish spat at it. We also fed a wip ray and touched it, it was smooth and slimy underneath. Then we went to Goose lagoon. There were no geese. We then went ot the flight deck. We saw many birds including Bill the red tail black cockatoo and lorikeets in training and a wedge tail eagle. Then we went to the nocturnal house. We didn't see half the things there, but I did see many things I hadn't seen before eg: Barn Owl. Next was the monsooon forest. There were heaps of birds and turtles. There were also bats. They were all females. There was a wild male outside. Then we ent to the acquarium. A swordfish smiled at me. I have never seen one before. We were very tired after that so we got an ice cream and wet home.
